interesting - Interesting

crockery-dressCrockery clothing
Some Mediterranean countries, such as Greece, have the millennial tradition of breaking the crockery to get rid of material goods in order to receive the New Year. The Chinese designer Li Xiaofeng was inspired by this tradition and found a way of recycling glass and porcelain remains in her new line of artistic clothing.

Flowery dress
Eco-artist Nicole Dextras is taking flowery fashion one step further with her intricately woven Weedrobes made from real plants! Weedrobes are a treat for the eyes, but they’re also a commentary on the disposability and conformism of the fashion industry today. Nicole’s work is currently on display at the Richard Levy Gallery in Albuquerque New Mexico.

Amazing the technology in future - flying cars
interesting - Interesting

flying-car-1The Jetsons made us all believe that flying cars were the future of commuting, and in truth we’ve had the technology to create flying cars for quite some time now. They haven’t taken off, so to speak, for a number of reasons – most notably that air traffic control capabilities might be overwhelmed by a large number of personal aircraft flying around. With computerized air traffic control taking over, flying car ideas are again gaining traction.

This design is known simply as the YEE. It’s meant to be a futuristic mode of transportation that embodies the best of the flying car ideal. Designed by Pan Jiazhi, Zhu Wenxi and Lai Zexin, the concept car took the gold medal for Best Creative Future in the 2010 International Concept Car Design Contest.

The YEE is geared toward single people or small families living in the suburbs who may face an unpleasant commute every morning. The vehicle would be able to get them to their destination quickly and pleasantly while avoiding the downtown traffic. But the car could be used for running errands around the neighborhood as well, because in its road mode it operates just like a regular car. When it’s ready to fly, the back wheels actually extend to become rear propellers.

skateboard-3Skating, inline blading and BMX biking are enjoyed by people from every country in the world. Skate parks are like playgrounds to skaters, and fans of the sport are always on the lookout for the biggest, wildest, craziest courses to conquer! From America’s West Coast to City of France, skate parks come in all styles and each offers its own unique twist.

There are at least 533 skate parks  in the US. California, with sixty-eight, has more than any other state; Colorado comes in as second with twenty-six, and Florida with twenty-five. So what does a skatepark offer? Most importantly, it offers a place for skateboarders to meet, perform their skills, and relax in a safe environment.
This summer, California Skateparks brought The World's Largest Skateboard to Camp Woodward PA. One afternoon, campers and staff took the enormous skateboard out for a ride. Late in the day, California Skateparks owner, Joe Ciaglia decided to take his creation for a solo ride.

Amazing Architecture Taiwan Pavilion, Shanghai Expo 2010
interesting - Interesting

taiwan-pavilion-shanghai-expoTaiwan Pavilion is a transparent cube housing a giant ball in its center. C.Y. Lee designed the Taiwan Pavilion for the Shanghai 2010 World Expo, with the theme "Mountain, Water, Heart and Lantern." A large sphere is suspended in a glass lantern. Mount Morrison and Mount Ali are painted on the exterior.
The pavilion will showcase the island's natural scenery, its kind-hearted people and traditional culture, said C. Y. Lee,  as well as Taipei 101, one of the world's tallest skyscrapers.
The structure incorporates each of the five elements: gold, wood, water, fire, and earth. This pavilion was sponsored by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council as a motion of good-will in China, which disputes the independence of Taiwan.

The pavilion will showcase Taipei, a city that makes people comfortable with a very natural lifestyle, Lee said, to echo the "Better City, Better Life" Shanghai Expo theme. The pavilion will mainly be made of steel and glass, with the outlines of the island's Mount Morrison and Mount Ali painted on the facade.
