Some Mediterranean countries, such as Greece, have the millennial tradition of breaking the crockery to get rid of material goods in order to receive the New Year. The Chinese designer Li Xiaofeng was inspired by this tradition and found a way of recycling glass and porcelain remains in her new line of artistic clothing.

Eco-artist Nicole Dextras is taking flowery fashion one step further with her intricately woven Weedrobes made from real plants! Weedrobes are a treat for the eyes, but they’re also a commentary on the disposability and conformism of the fashion industry today. Nicole’s work is currently on display at the Richard Levy Gallery in Albuquerque New Mexico.

Condom dress
Last Friday was World Aids Day & a creative seamstress from New York decided to commemorate the day with a very interesting, painstakingly difficult wedding dress.

This particular wedding dress was fashioned from 12,500 individually colored & hand-stitched condoms. The result was actually quite lovely & you can rest assured that on your wedding night that you be well-covered in that area!
